Dhana woke up feeling lathargic but happy. Memories of the night brought a smile to her face. The best sex ever, and to top it off, with her current partner, who was a little on the shy side of things, or at least, had been prior to last night.

Rolling over towards Eseen she realised that she had forgotten a part of the evening, something to do with vampires. Something fairly important at that. Taking in the sight of her lover reality came rushing back and she remembered that important thing to do with vampires. Just to be sure she wasnt imagining Eseen looking different to the way she used to, she stuck her finger into her mouth and tested her new fangs.

"ouch!" she complained as she stabbed her finger on the fang. They were sharp!

"Essie?" She asked, hoping to wake the fixer up. "Uh.. I think we may have a problem"

Eseen slowly stirred as Dhana yelped from the self inflicted pinprick on her finger. She didn't wake up though, or at least didn't initially. She groaned slightly, one hand reaching up and resting on one of Dhana's breasts while she pressed herself against her. She smiled, resting her head in the girl's chest for a bit before tilting her head back and kissing her on the bottom of the jaw and layed back down on her shoulder.

"Hi, Dhaan." She responded, completely ignoring her concern.

Her eyes remained closed and held a content smile on her face, just happy to be in this position.

Having Eseen wake up like that was something Dhana enjoyed. though, today she was seriously distracted and rather than kissing Eseen back, she looked at her face, noting the subtle changes that had occured in her as well.

"Right, I need a mirror!" She declared after a moment. Eseen wasn't looking quite like herself any more, and she'd just jabbed her finger on her.. fangs.. she really wanted to know what she looked like now.

With that thought, she got up, ignoring Eseen, and headed over to the bathroom, which luckily was attached to the guest room. On the way there, she managed to stumble, but caught herself, not even remotely aware of the changes in her feet. All she'd figured out so far was that her finger nails had increased in length and she had fangs.

"Oh. My. God!" She declared as she saw herself for the first time as a vampire. "Essie! This is soo awesome!"

Eseen was almost flung out of the bed as Dhana shot up from it. She balanced herself as she sat up while her lover ran off and frowned. Leaning over, she looked for her top, hoping it was beside the bed. Instead, she got up and wandered over to pick up her clothes at the door, slipping on her pants and wrapping her top around her. Well, almost anyway.

"Dhaan... I'm sorry." She apologised, standing in the doorway looking guilty while she absentmindedly fumbled with her pants and top that wouldn't quite fit as if they were too small.

"Why are you sorry?" Eseen's reaction confused her. Then again, Eseen most likely hadn't been a fan girl of anything vampiric, unlike herself. "Essie, this is wonderful!"

Completely forgoing the chance to put on clothing, or even pick up a phone to contact Sonia, she instead headed to the door, opened it and taking a step out into the corridor hollered "SONIA??"

"Because of..." Eseen began before Dhana darted past her. She paused for a moment, contemplating Dhana's sudden outburst before rushing out after her. She stumbled momentarily over her newly shaped feet, but quickly gained her balance on the balls of them. While it didn't feel quite right standing on her toes as Kalia seemed to, it worked for now.

"Dhaan." She spoke up as she reached out to put her hand on Dhana's left shoulder where it was made clear where she had been bitten. Her other hand continued unconsciously fiddling with her clothing. "I mean this. I didn't mean to scar you..."

She turned back to Eseen to see what the girl was sorry about, only to find her pointing to her shoulder. Looking at it, she saw more veins than she'd usually see. At least, she seemed to. It resulted in Dhana making her way back to the mirror, and this time, instead of just looking at her fangs, taking note on the veins that had sprung up under the two neat fang marks on her neck spanning down her left side to the top of her breast as well as up the side of her face, ending in one pure red eye.

Starring at her eyes with surprise she commented "I didn't see that before"

Turning back to Eseen, she looked at her lover curiously, noticing the changes that had happened in her, starting with the fact that Eseen's eyes, while red, were both the same, unlike hers.

A great big smile formed on her face as she walked up to Eseen and planted a kiss on her cheek. "This is totally awesome! We're vampires"

Eseen stepped back as Dhana finally acknowledged her new appearance and let her pass to look herself in the mirror. Her eyes focused down at the floor out of guilt once she started inspecting herself and tried to mentally prepare herself for the backlash.

She was well aware of Dhana's appearance beforehand. How much she paid attention to it, how much it meant to her, to her fans, makeup artists and most importantly, how much she herself enjoyed looking at her. These thoughts were interrupted by a distant chime from what she could discern, originated from the foyer of the mansion. While quiet, it broke the deafening silence.

"Look, Dhaan. I didn't mean to, I just lost control and-" Dhana's outburst interrupted her and she almost jumped back at the exclamation and the kiss. She hesitantly broke into a smile, reflecting hers, unable to not be excited by her infectious mood. The guilt in her eyes, however, remained. "You're not upset?"

It was exactly that, the time she had spent in makeup, that made her realise how much easier this all would be now that she had natural vampiric features. After all, the singer had often played dress up vampire on stage, and was a bit of a fangirl when it came to vampires, something she obviously forgot to tell Eseen.

"Noo... why would I be upset? Last night was... " she smiled at the memory of it "... great."

"And now we have fangs. Actual, really real fangs! Essie, do you know how annoying fake fangs are?" she asked, showing an uncanny ability to speak clearly even though her facial features had changed ever so slightly to accomodate the fangs.

"Last night was.." She chimed in time with Dhana. Her gaze shifted away from her, back down at the ground, the guilty half smile she held faded into a frown. "I..."

She looked back up at Dhana as she went off on a tangent. Her eyes welled up with tears and she bit her lip before she screwed up her face. Stepping forward, she reached for Dhana's shoulders and gripped them tightly.

"I tried to kill you Dhana." she spoke softly. "I did kill you!"

Eseen clenched her teeth and inhaled sharply while shutting her eyes tightly.

"How can you be okay with that!?" She blurted out and snorted as tears began falling.

But that's the beauty of it.. you didn't k.. well, you did kill me" She responded before placing her arms around Eseen's waist and drawing her into a hug, rather than having Eseen stand an armslength away from her and berating her for something she had no issues with.

"You didn't leave me dead though, you gave me life. Part of your life. Don't you see? Your blood now flows through me, how can that possibly be a bad thing?"

She remembered her father's words to her regarding Eseen, remembered that her father had said she'd have her own reasons to look out for Dhana. Now at least, Dhana felt sure that she had a hold on Eseen that would allow her to look out for the girl's welfare, even if their relationship stopped working for whatever reason. Actually, the way she was seeing things right now, there was no way that their relationship would ever go wrong or stop working.

"I felt your heart slow down and stop." She clung to Dhana as she was pulled close and tried to pull herself together to continue speaking. "I enjoyed every second of it. The power I felt as your life slipped away..."

Eseen choked up and took in a few deep gasps before burying herself into Dhana's shoulder and let out a moan. Her grip around Dhana tightened and she began crying. It took a few moments, but she managed to collect herself and muster between sobs.

"I... never wanted to do that to s-someone I... love so... much."

Sonia's morning had been a bit of a blur, and it still was. She was sure she had only just woken up, yet she found herself walking down a long hallway. There were some memories of stairs somewhere along the way, but they were brushed off as the dream she woke up from.

The kitchen. That's where she was headed. Something about thick dark liquid. Blood? No. She looked down at her hand and noticed she was gripping something. This was interrupted by a feminine moan she heard somewhere far away. It was terrible. She was living in a nightmare. The flash of blonde hair confirmed that.

She continued walking for a bit before stopping. Memories of something in her hand surfaced again and she gazed down to uncover this mystery item. It was a mug. Full of brown blood. Ew. No, wait. That was coffee! This wasn't a dream!

She raised the mug to her face to start drinking its bitter nectar. Surely this was a gift from the gods. A miracle passed down upon her out of sheer benevolence. That kind and awesome divine red headed being who- Oh, it was only Andras. He made good coffee.

Something halted her progress, though. Something foreign. Slightly puffy and a bit sweet. Her other hand reached up and pulled the circular dough from her mouth to drink this genius of caffeine delivery. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted movement and glared, bleary eyed through the open door at Dhana and Eseen.

"Oh... David's here." She turned her head back to the hallway, instantly forgetting about the pair, blinked a few times, took a bite out of the donut and continued shuffling down the hallway.

She continued hugging Eseen for a bit while Eseen spilled what was really  troubling her. And being Dhana, she managed to not grasp the actual issue.

"Uh.. Essie.. I've been sharing my life force with you every time you injure yourself. Think maybe that has something to do with your enjoyment?"

As Sonia walked past to pass on a vague message, Dhana broke the hug. She had called for Sonia earlier not because of any issues she had with being turned into a vampire, rather, she wanted some information in regards to the powers she should now have. Of course, with Sonia not really reacting much other than to inform them that David had shown up, she did the only thing she could think of, and chased after Sonia. Ok, so she ran out of the room, turned to look where Sonia was ambling, which can't have been far away from the door, thus not needing to shout, asked: "Sonia? Who's David?"

Sonia stopped in her tracks and slowly turned around. She took another sip of the coffee, appearing surprised at the mug in her hand. There was a pause while she cocked her head to the side, trying to think. Her half opened eyes then focused on her other hand.

"Oh, there you are." She mumbled before reaching out to shove the half eaten donut into Dhana's mouth, turn around and shuffle away again.

The discreet sound of a man clearing his throat seemed to bounce off the walls from behind Dhana. There, a reasonably young dark haired Englishman stood almost threateningly straight. His attire seemed to suggest he had dressed for some sort of formal occasion. He raised a hand to his face gently adjusted his glasses.

On the acknowledgement of his presence, Dhana would notice something oddly familiar yet intimidating about him just being there. Almost as if she was standing in front of another vampire.

"I see your pets have a habit of lacking modesty, Ms Mutenburg." He spoke clearly in a thick English accent with a tone almost tangible with distaste. His gaze then locked eye contact with Dhana, the slightest frown of disapproval present on his face.

She didn't know what to do about the donut that found its way into her mouth, thus pulling it out, after taking a small bite from it while pulling a face indicating her disgust at the sugary sweet.

The clearing of throat from behind her made her turn around and take in the rather well dressed man behind her. Her eyes went wide as she noticed that he was dressed, before her eyes looked down, then back up her body and she had the grace to have her cheeks redden slightly.

"You must be David.. and I'm naked! I'm sorry, would you excuse me for a minute?" She asked before turning around, ducking back into their room and slamming the door behind her, only to lean against the door for a moment.

Taking a deep breath, she made her way over to where their suitcase was and started roaming around in it, muttering something about bad timing as she did so, before heading to the bathroom to take a shower, clearly upset at something.

David averted his eyes when Dhana pointed out her apparent lack of clothes. He glanced at the door as she slammed it behind her and adjusted his tie. He paused momentarily and then stepped towards the closed room.

"Ms. Hawkins. I take it you are in there. I'll leave you two some privacy. When you are prepared, meet me in the dining hall." he spoke calmly before sharply turning on his heel and catching up to the shambling half dead Sonia. Gently, he took a hold of her wrist and lead her in a different direction. "This way, Ms. Mutenburg. You already have your morning coffee..."

His voice trailed off as the pair wandered down the hallway. There was a few moments pause and then David's voice echoed out again.

"You two may not want to open the curtains. You are both vampires now and the sun is up."

Eseen let Dhana break the embrace and she stood there helplessly gazing at her longingly. When she returned to head towards the bathroom, Eseen reached out and grabbed her hand. She took a grip of it and pulled Dhana towards her.

"Dhaan..." She held her hand close to her chest. Her train of thought was briefly interrupted by David's message, but her concentration quickly made its way back to the girl in front of her. "David's a vampire hunter. Be careful around him, okay?"

She let Eseen distract her from her mad rush to get cleaned up and dressed, enjoying the comfort of the hug she was receiving at the same time as having an explanation as to who David was.

"Why's he here then?" She asked, sounding annoyed, and for the first time since they got to Sonia's unsure. This wasn't the first time that she'd had to be careful around people, nor the first time someone was after her life. Just the first time someone went out of their way to convert them to vampires before.. did it make it easier to kill her as a vampire? She wondered.

At David's voice indicating the sunlight issue, she frowned.

"So he's a vampire hunter who warns vampires of the dangers of sunlight? Wouldn't it have been easier for him to simply let us find out on our own?" She shook her head. "Not that everyone doesn't know vampires cant go out into sunlight.. does he actually think we're stupid? And how do you know him anyway?"

"David's an alright guy. We took on some sun aspected vampires a while back." The memories of her past came to mind and she let off a slight smile. "He's head of the assassin's guild, but when I met him, he was just a vampire hunter. He and Sonia have organised a treaty with the other families to keep the peace."

At David's advice, she turned to look at the curtains.

"Oh, I would have forgotten about that..." Eseen muttered under her breath. "The family houses are sanctuary, but where the family heads can have absolute rule. It's so they..."

She paused and looked down at her hands, noting the claws on them. Her right hand reached to Dhana's face and gently traced her thumb over the veins that ran up her cheek to her eye.

"...We... don't run amok. The hunter has the authority to exterminate problem vampires anywhere but the houses. The families have authority to deal with problems themselves. It means if one takes refuge from the slayer at a house, they're left to the mercy of said house. Whether they approve of whatever they've done, take matters into their own hands or surrender the poor bastard to whoever wants them most."

She wasn't so sure on the 'alright guy' part, but if Eseen didn't have an issue with David, she'd make an effort to not have an issue with him either.

"So in other words, unless Sonia says so, he can't harm us while we're here?" It sounded convenient, slightly too convenient for her liking. "And I have to get cleaned up, he's dressed up as though he was here for a really formal occasion, would sorta be bad form for me to not match that" She smiled slightly at that, her idea of matching what David was wearing was to dress as Ilisca, and that always was fun.

With that, she extracted herself from the hug and went to the bathroom to clean up and do vocal training.

Half an hour later, she emerged in one of her stage outfits, the only one that actually sat right, and that only after she'd forgone wearing a bra under the skimpy top. Twirling around to show Eseen the entire outfit better, she smiled at the fixer.

"Go get ready while I do makeup, we have a vampire hunter to impress"

By the time Dhana had come out of the bathroom, Eseen was slouched on the bed, looking somewhat disappointed. She wandered in after her and spent only a few minutes before emerging with the same disappointed look on her face. She was wearing only a loose top and pajama pants.

"Why don't any of my clothes fit anymore?" She asked, genuinely confused. "Also, you bit me a lot, way too much last night."

She raised an arm and pulled up the sleeve to show the trail of bitemarks from her elbow upwards that seemed to be quickly healing.

She was glad that Eseen was willing to forgive her, it wasn't like her to get carried away quite as badly as she had the previous night, however, she was willing to put it down to the change from living to living dead.

"Yeah.." she replied to Eseen's comment on the night being nice, before joining her and heading towards the dining room.

Upon finding the dining room, she opened the door, a brilliant smile making its way onto her face as she scanned the room to see who was there. The occupants would see that she still had her hair down, though brushed and still somewhat damp, a bright red corsett top easily showing the top half of her breasts displayed the veins that had shown up during the previous night. Her makeup did nothing to hide that, if anything, it drew to deep red lips and long, black eye lashes.

In addition to this, she wore a velvet black flowing skirt, but had foregone shoes due to them no longer fitting.

"Thank you for waiting for us" She said as she drew closer to David and Sonia, before stopping near David. "I'm Ilisca, my appologies for the earlier encounter" She greeted him rather formally.

David was sat at the head of the table with Sonia at his right. He held a stiff upright posture, hands in his lap with fingers intertwined. Sonia, on the other hand, seemed to be sprawled out over the table, hair covering her face with a half drunk mug of coffee next to her head and a new donut next to that.

David's face was held in a neutral emotive state. His eyes glanced briefly at Sonia as Dhana entered, the smalled sign given off his distaste for Sonia's lack of formality, and back to fix eye contact with the new vampire. The only tell he gave off was the slightly raised eyebrow. He stood up abruptly, but gracefully and extended his left open hand upwards towards a seat.

"Good morning, Ms. Illisca. Westerchurch. David Westerchurch." His gaze fell on Eseen. "Ms. Hawkins. Please, have a seat."

He spoke politely, letting the pair sit down before he did. He adjusted his coat and tie before reaching in his coat to pull out a manila folder.

"Now, before we begin, I must ask: Were you both sired by Ms. Mutenburg?"

She nooded slightly in recognition to his name before taking a seat. He seemed to still be this formal and she had a few issues putting him into the correct catergory of men. He did however not make off hand comments about her and Eseen, and for that she was grateful.

Looking at Sonia though, she could almost understand David's opinon from earlier though.

"You're going to have to forgive me for not being up to speed here, Mr. Westerchurch. What are we meeting about?"

Eseen strolled into the room behind Dhana casually, scratching her head and idly plying with one of her ears. She smiled and gave a slight nod to David when he addressed the pair before grabbing a seat away from him to put herself between him and Dhana. Leaning back, she stretched and gave a little yawn before hunching over the table and poking at her fangs.

She had woken up fairly fresh and her shower had livened her up a bit, but she still felt somewhat tired. Her thoughts began wandering and put it down to having a rather late and exhausting night.

"I'm thirsty..."

David nodded back at Eseen as she sat down and seemingly lost his interest in her altogether in favour of speaking to Dhana.

"You are correct. Despite Ms. Hawkins' experience with vampires and general knowledge of the politics between the vampire families, neither of you are up to speed about your new found... change."

He placed the folder gently down on the table and opened it up carefully.

"This is all the relevant information about your subspecies of vampire summarised to all you need to know. However it is important to begin with how this occurred. I am unable to give you both accurate knowledge if I do not know the exact sequence of events."

She was completely oblivious of why Eseen would choose to sit between herself and David before she sat down.

"Ah" She responded to David's explanation of why they were here, though at the request on how the change happend, she smiled.

"We were invited by Ms. Mutenberg to spend some time with her, to be, well, to be safe from the outside world" Even to her, that reason suddenly sounded dodgy. "And once we got here, I found out that she is not only a fan, but a vampire.. and then she offered.. and I wanted to.. and then we got Eseen to join in. And once Eseen was on board with it, we basically had one hell of a threesome..." she smiled as she remembered the feeling, before cringing. "... and then things sorta may have gotten a little out of hand.

With that, she looked at Sonia "Unless she planned to have things get out of hand." Focusing back on David, she continued "I can assure you though, Mr. Westerchurch, Eseen did not kill me on purpose, neither did I injure her because I wanted to hurt her"

David managed to keep a straight face all through Dhana's explanation. His gaze shifted around the room, focusing on Eseen first, and while his face didn't show it, he was somewhat surprised the girl would get involved with the two of them in such an intimate way. However, he never really did inquire about her personal life whenever the two caught up.

He raised an eyebrow at Eseen's reaction. Her cheeks were a deep crimson red as she stared at Dhana wide eyed. Sonia had come to life a little more and was leaning over with a suggestive smirk on her face, looking at the pair. David cleared his throat.

"You say Ms. Hawkins' killed you. So I am to assume it was her that sired you." His gaze focused upwards towards the door. "Andras, please serve Ms. Hawkins a fresh cup of warm blood."

He then put his focus back on Dhana.

"You, on the other hand, Ms. Illisca, are going to need to make your first kill." He reached into his coat again and pulled out another folder, placing it on top of the first and opening it up to shift the papers in them to his left. Each sheet showed a profile of various people with miscellaneous information about each of them.

She nodded at David's assumption that Eseen sired her.

"It is more acceptable to the fan base than us getting married" She admitted out of the blue, showing how dedicated she was to Eseen, though wasn't entirely sure about the blood that David ordered for Eseen, somehow, the word 'warm' felt out of place.

(lets andras do his job without posting for him)

"Ilisca, not Ms." She politely corrected David. "And why do you think I need to make my first kill?" Her pacifistic nature over riding her vampiric (and new) nature, made her have a rather strong reaction when it came to the concept of killing.

David raised his eyebrow again at Dhana's comment about the pair getting married. It confused him a little, why it was relevant enough to bring up with him.

"Forgive me, Illisca." He apologised after the correction. His right hand flipped over the second folder and he shifted the paper of the first around, flicking through the pages until he came to the spot he was after. "Your particular breed of vampire requires the newly sired to feed within fourty eight hours. Their meal needs to psychologically and subconsciously be registered as a kill. If neither of these two requirements are met, higher brain functions quickly begin to shut down.

"As Ms. Hawkins may have informed you, I am responsible for keeping the families under control. While I would prefer this not to occur, I am in a unique position to use this in order to be mutually beneficial. As the head of the assassin's guild, I can choose a target who will be eliminated regardless to be the meal."

He reached into his coat again and carefully pulled out a pistol, placing it gently on the table next to the folders.

"It would be breaking the terms of the vampire treaty if I were to take action against you right here and right now, the laws of this place are dependent on the mistress of the house. If you did not have your first feed within forty eight hours, you will quickly degenerate into a mindless blood sucking monster. If you choose to have your first feed without killing, the process will begin immediately.

"So choose, Illisca. I have no qualms about ending the existence of a vampire. Even less about one who has lost their mind, however, I would prefer not to do so, it is more hazardous. Do you wish to kill to survive or would you rather I end your life here? Ms. Mutenburg surely does not want a mindless killing machine rampaging on her reputation."

She did not appreciate being told that as a vampire, she'd have to kill. She had done enough research previously to know that these days vampires lived, or at least, could live, off bloodbanks, or partial feedings from volunteers rather than the barbaric methods of days long gone which required you to kill your victim.

"Yes, Eseen has mentioned this" she responded to David enquiring if she knew what his job was. The gun he pulled out was observed with a surprising amount of calmness, as though she was beyond believing that it would harm her. (here I need to mention that her hand device is on her hand and that I should have explained that earlier )

"How certain are you that I will loose my mind if I don't kill?" she asked, a certain amount of rebeliousness in her voice.

"I have been labeled by many vampires as 'The Slayer'. While I have no actual connection to the Slayer, there are many reasons why I have received such a title."

He flicked through the first few sheets of paper he had divided out and slowly pushed them over towards Dhana.

"These are the abridged research papers on your subspecies. There have been many experiments on many subspecies, specifically to discover more efficient ways to eradicate them. I have personally bore witness to some of them. Tracking your subspecies for termination is one of utmost importance if it is a newly sired one. Forty eight hours and you would be guaranteed to have at least one casualty to such a target. And then the body count begins rising quickly."

Dhana, who was part of the entertainment industry, knew that just because someone gave you a lable didn't mean you actually lived up to it. She did however remember Eseen's warning to be careful around David, thus accepted that he may have deserved his reputation.

She listened to him and made sure to wait till he was finished before looking at the papers he had pushed towards her. What she read there was chilling to say the least. For someone to go out of their way and run tests to see how/when someone would kill and how to kill them afterwards was just a little too real for her. Bands like Godslayer sang about that type of thing, and how much fun the kill was, but it was all romanticised and fake. Here, at the table with David, the romantic side just didn't seem to be there.

"Good. I have another 36 hours before you need to kill me then" She responded after a bit before looking over at Eseen "You think we can go back to my home planet before then?"

As Dhana made up her mind, Eseen's face fell. She reached out and grabbed her hand, looking her eye to eye.

"Dhaan... Don't do this." She turned to face David. "Isn't there any other way?"

David flipped over the folder again and pulled out the entire contents of the second, passing them over to Dhana.

"Before you decide, as I can deduce you are a pacifist, take a look at your options of who you can kill. These people's deaths have been put on hold for forty eight hours, or until you decide to feed." He leaned back and adjusted his glasses. "Perhaps if you read what they've done to earn the contract on their heads, you may change your mind. Given that they have all been tracked down, whether you use one of them as food or not will not change any of their fates."

"But we can make it?" She asked Eseen, who had guessed what Dhana was thinking of doing. It was just that if she had to kill or die, she might as well die for a good reason.

At David's request to not decide till she looked at more paperwork, she shook her head.

"No-one's made me god. I don't have the right to take someone's life." She did however, accept the papers from him, more to placate Eseen than to actually look at them, and glance over them. She could see where he came from regarding the acts these people had committed, and yet, all she saw, were victims of their circumstances.

"Dhaan, what are you talking about? You're not playing god!" Eseen burst out as her grip on Dhana's hand tightened to clench it. "All you're doing is choosing to die. You're not going to be responsible for anybody's death but your own! And you're just going to leave everybody who cares about you behind?"

She frowned at her lover. "I'm not playing god. That's the entire point!" She wasn't sure why, but the thought of killing anyone, even if it meant her survival, made her feel sick. Of course, that may have just been the glass of blood that had just been put down in front of Eseen that was making her stomach turn.

"Besides, if my iminent death is going to save several billion people.. I'm sure Mr. Westerchurch here would agree that ending my life on my home planet isnt such a bad idea"  It wasn't that she so much wanted to commit suecide, as age old teachings of the temple that resurfaced now that she was under stress. Another symbol of this would be the device on her hand which had started to glow softly as Eseen had adamently begged her not to commit suecide.

David's hand hovered towards his pistol, picking it up carefully and flicking a switch on the side. He glanced at Eseen briefly, then locked eye contact with Dhana.

"I'm not going to let you get that far. You're not going to make it back to your planet before your higher functions completely degenerate, where ever it is. And I'm certainly not willing to keep a mindless killing machine chained up as some sort of sacrifice."

"They don't need my higher brain functions to work, they just need my blood." She responded, aware of the fact that David had reached for his gun, unaware of why.

"Why would you not let them kill me? You're willing to do so, and that's while I"m still very much in my right state of mind."

"Foolish girl." He smirked. "You seem to be such a fan of these monsters and you don't seem to know that much about them. Your home world needs your blood. I don't know why, what for, and personally, I don't particularly care. Unless you've kept a significant portion of your blood refrigerated, they're never going to get it. You have the research notes there. Do you have any idea how drastically your genetic makeup has been altered?"

"To keep their civilisation from dying out. Our life expectancy is getting shorter with each generation..." She explained to him, ignoring the fact that he didn't want to know. He pissed her off with his attitude. So he hated vampires, wasn't he one himself? Even if, would it really have been so bad to let her get killed back home? Did he enjoy killing so much that he was willing to add potential genoside to his kill score?

"Wait... what??" She asked suddenly, having heard him say something about genetic makeup being altered, at the same time as flicking through the papers in front of her before stopping to actually read what it said. "ohh great! So last night made sure that all I'd be doing is making Eseen unhappy. That's just brilliant!"

She continued reading the notes, this time reading all of them and ignoring the people in the room. "Your notes only specify what happens when humans turned vampire don't kill, there is no research from different species" She pointed out sounding bitter.

"This is the only time I need to kill though, right? There won't be another time that you haven't mentioned to me yet?"

"No Mr. Westerchurch, you appear to be the type that has no issues eliminating an entire species" She replied to his question. "Truthfully though, you confuse me. You have no issues killing me, yet you're happy to tell me you're trying to keep this subspecies alive. You also have an issue with my original suggestion of me simply getting out of your hair, and maybe doing some good.. or at least, getting killed by someone other than yourself. So what exactly is it you gain here?"

She wasn't good at talkign to professional killers, Agents though, Agents she knew how to handle, and at times, they played a game as confusing as David's was right now, which is why she handled him the same way she'd handle an agent.

"I gain nothing from this. I am however, paying off a favour for Ms. Hawkins here." He glanced at the visibly panicked Eseen who was trying to keep her act together, trying to appear the strong one for Dhana. "She doesn't seem to care who you are in the scheme of things, but she doesn't want you to throw your life away for some foolish notion that could save your people.

"Illisca. You are a vampire now. Your body and mind have been altered to be a powerful hunting species evolutionarily conditioned to hunt and drink the blood of us humans. Do you really think making a moral stand here will change anything? Will it sit better with you that the only result of your death will be the lament of your partner?"

"Does the entire underground owe you a favour?" She asked Eseen quietly, turning to her, only to take in how panicked Eseen really was.

Back when they had first met, well, after her father had hired Eseen to guard her, she had encountered someone who owed Eseen a favour, someone who was quite skilled in killing. She now drew similarities between him and David.

Turning back to David she responded to his statements.

"For some odd reason, I get the feeling my mind hasn't changed as much as you claim it has. Had it changed to what you claim, I'd be.. well.. if you really are human.. I'd assume I'd be attacking you right now."

The sick feeling in her stomach still remaining.

"My death would upset Eseen a great deal, you're right there. Will it stop the next vampire killing? According to yourself, no, it won't. Hell, you'd make sure they did! And I'm not making a moral stand here, I'm simply stating that I have no interest now, nor have I ever had any, in killing."

With that she got up. "Essie, can we just leave?" She needed time out, time to digest the information she'd been given. And David and the more or less passed out Sonia could go to hell if they thought even for one minute that she was ready to kill right now.

Eseen clutched Dhana's hand as she got up and remained sitting to look up at her.

"Dhaan..." She began. She didn't end the sentence. She didn't know what to say. Asking her lover to kill somebody, something she knew wouldn't sit right with Dhana and it sure as hell wouldn't sit right with her. Instead, she tried for a more reasonable option. "You're not alone..."

David ignored most of what Dhana was saying. He lowered his weapon back down to the table and adjusted his glasses again.

"You have twelve hours to decide on your fate, Illisca. Inform me which one of these targets you choose. You cannot leave this house safely until dusk anyway."

She smiled at Eseen as she told her she wasn't alone. It was appreciated.

Though she found it awfully hard to not poke out her tongue at David when he pointed out that she couldn't leave the house until dusk. Instead, she pulled gently at Eseen for her to get up and walked out of the room, hopefully wiht Eseen following.
