Shukumei exists in a galaxy teeming with life. Characters you make are limited only by your imagination, whether it be a boring everyday human, fantastically wild aliens, cybernetic organisms to spiritual anthropomorphic beings. You can chose any character from any walk of life that isn't taken.
I will provide a list of important characters if you need to use them for roleplaying with or to check whether it's available to play. If I haven't listed it or if you're just unsure, ask here and I'll be happy to reply and add it to the list.
Fixers An interstellar peacekeeping force. They answer to nobody but themselves and do jobs on a pure hierarchical basis. Any problem that needs fixing, they make it a job. Fixers are unbribable and are handed jobs down from their seniors as third party mediators. They can take any job they wish if they go out looking, but will refuse any job offered to them otherwise.
Only one trait is common on choosing a Fixer and it's their quick aptitude - their ability to pick both mental and physical skills up almost superhumanly fast. For this, they keep an eye out on children that display these traits and recruit them into the organisation. Rigorous education and physical training ensues to get the child into peak physical and mental proficiency to be able to take full advantage of their talent.
Assassins Guild Run by David Westerchurch. The guild name is self explanatory. David himself is a specialist at hunting and marking vampires - rumoured to be one himself.
Vampire Alliance Run by the family of Divinity, a few major families fall under Sonia Mutenburg's flag. It was created to keep a stalemate amongst the warring families and put into place by David Westerchurch himself to make a known line that needs to be crossed before he has to step in.
Hackers circle Not really a group or faction, but a gathering of people. Notable hackers in the community are i0, chaos, Ghost and XXXX. Their real identities are far from the public eye and each other.
Spirits and Gods The Antropormorphic personification of Death (gratuitously stolen from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels) is taken. Everything else is up for grabs. Make your own, steal some from anywhere.
